Megabol Testosterol™ is an effective natural anaboliser based on fractions of plant sterols, which is able to increase and optimise the levels of the most important hormones and thus significantly accelerate muscle growth and maximise recovery. Taking Testosterone has diverse biological effects that depend on many endogenous and exogenous factors. The quantitative relationships between steroid hormones existing in the system prior to consumption of the drug play an essential role, because the sterols contained in the preparation are not only a substrate for synthesis of testosterone, but also of other steroid hormones. Some sterol metabolites can mimic typical hormones in the body and compete with them for receptors in body cells, leading to modification of many physiological functions. A common result of these processes is the regulation of quantitative relationships between 17-ketosteroids, testosterone, progesterone, androsterone, and corticosteroids.
In 2004, research was conducted on plant sterols with tests in farm animals. The results showed that these compounds, when administered with a balanced diet, increased muscle growth by 18-26%. In 2006, data was obtained from training volunteers who supplemented their diet with TestosterolTM 250. The results of these subjects after 30 days and after consuming one packet of the product showed an average body weight gain of 2-3 kg (max 9 g). Over 90% of the volunteers also increased their training load. Positive changes in sleep phases were noted in 86% of the volunteers. Testosterol is a preparation based on the active fractions of plant sterols. Sterols are chemical compounds derived from sterane, their base is 1,2-cyclopentanoperhydrophenanthrene. In the classification of chemical substances, the sterols used are classified as steroids because they contain a hydroxyl group at position 3 and an aliphatic chain at position 17. The biological properties of sterols depend on the number and nature of the side chains, especially carbon 17 (17C). Plant sterols - e.g. stigmasterol and sitosterol - have a structure similar to cholesterol, progesterone, pregnenolone and 17-hydroxypregnenolone. As a result, sterols taken over a prolonged period of time are a precursor in the synthesis of pregnenolone. Pregnenolone is an essential substrate for the biosynthesis of progestagens, which give rise to 17-ketosteroids, glycocorticosteroids, mineralocorticosteroids, testosterone, androsterone, and estrogens. Pregnenolone undergoes the transformations that lead to the formation of all steroid hormones. These biochemical reactions are catalyzed by cytochrome P-450 and conditioned and enhanced by iron compounds.
